Behind the Scenes – Suk-Keun Kang
Suk-Keun Kang is a Korean woodworking craftsman. He creates lacquerware by carving wood, a living material, layering lacquer, and finishing the pieces through high-temperature firing. Building on traditional techniques, he uses a method of his own design to cure the lacquer. This introduction provides insight into the artist and the background of his work, where a deep respect for materials and tradition coexists with a dynamic approach to innovation.

Interview with Kazuya Sasaki – vol.1
ARTS&SCIENCE unveiled its newest store in Kamakura's Zaimokuza district in October last year. Kazuya Sasaki, the creative mind behind the interior design of this establishment, characterized by its distinct atmospheres on the first and second floors, has been intricately involved in shaping the interior design and architecture of 14 of our stores since the opening of the first store, the former A&S Daikanyama, in May 2003.
