NOWHOW was founded in Berlin in 2021. It was born from a designer with experience as a stage choreographer and a leather craftsman who runs a local shoe repair workshop. The brand name combines “now” and “how,” embodying the sentiment: “How can we do our best right now?”
Grounded in the philosophy of repair, the brand proposes the value of using items for a long time while repairing them as needed. They prioritize designs that rely as little as possible on off-the-shelf hardware, create universal designs that transcend gender and age, and focus on robust construction, created with the expectation that they will be worn for many years and repaired along the way. All processes are carried out in their Berlin atelier, and the brand employs a made-to-order system without holding inventory. The approach of producing only what is needed, in the necessary quantities, is also one of the brand’s core philosophies.
c Colors will be available in three options: Black, Dark Brown, and the new color Taupe. Semi-custom orders are also possible for all five styles in the classic Lambskin Leather series, with a selection of five colors, including Beige, Light Beige, and Ivory.
In addition, the Nubuck series arriving in store will also include Grey, a new color for SS2026. On the days the designers are present, visitors will have the opportunity to speak with them directly while making their selection. We invite you to stop by.
