Original Towel

A&S towels have been part of our Home Collection since its launch and were developed in collaboration with a manufacturer in Imabari, Ehime prefecture. Each piece is unique for its dressed-down texture which boasts high water absorption rate right from the beginning.

Aiming to reproduce solid European pile fabrics, we selected exclusive yarn, fabric and the right woven density to create face and bath towels with the perfect balance of comfort and texture. These pile fabrics are made from bulky Peruvian tanguis cottons – hard twisted cotton yarns compared to ordinary yarns – and have high water absorption rate. Since the basic fabric is linen, they quickly release the moisture for high water absorption rate and quick-drying properties.

Smaller hanging clothes are made from pile-free cloth which dries quicker than towels, making them perfect to be used for kitchens and drying your hands. Together with our face and bath towels, our hanging cloths are made from high quality linen provided by the oldest and the only remaining French fiber manufacturer “Safilin”.

A&S towels are currently available at 4 stores: A&S Daikanyama (main collection), A&S Marunouchi, OVER THE COUNTER, HIN (Kyoto). Our new color gray will be joining the collection from April.
