Starting Tuesday, September 1, 2026, the 2027 Hobonichi Techo Planner will be available at select A&S stores and on A&S ONLINE SELLER.
The Hobonichi Techo Planner, now in its 15th year
The Hobonichi Techo Planner is the English version of the “Hobonichi Techo.” Building on the qualities of the Japanese version, it was developed over two years and launched in 2013 under the creative direction of A&S owner Sonya Park. The matte, cloth-covered cover is foil-stamped with the kanji characters “手帳” (techo, meaning “planner” in Japanese), giving it an elegant and stylish appearance. Cherished by people around the world, it can be enjoyed in each user’s own way, regardless of nationality.

A&S Store-Exclusive Planner Cover
As in previous years, we have prepared a matching cover for the Hobonichi Techo Planner. It is crafted from A&S’s signature cowhide leather, made from Italian shoulder hide prized for its strength and suppleness and fully tanned by artisans. The surface is lightly distressed by skilled craftsmen using machinery. When new, the leather has a matte appearance reminiscent of nubuck but becomes increasingly lustrous with use, allowing you to enjoy the distinctive aging of the leather.
The simple design uses no hardware and closes by slipping the belt into an opening in the body. A key mark is embossed on the back as an accent.

Hobonichi Store Limited Planner Cover

For this year’s Hobonichi Store-exclusive planner cover, we have chosen kip leather tanned with tannins. Making use of the natural leather base, only the surface is dyed. Solid wax is applied by hand and worked into the leather with a high-temperature iron, creating a clean, lustrous finish and depth of color. The more the leather is used, the deeper its color and luster become, allowing you to enjoy the distinctive aging of the leather.
The Hobonichi Store-exclusive planner cover will be available from Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at TOBICHI, the stores operated by Hobonichi, and the Hobonichi Store.
