about “rasai”
In 1996, two co-founders established the company “asiam studio” in India to design and produce finely crafted textile products, and launched a Home-furnishing line under the name ‘rasai’, inspired by the timeless comfort of “razai”, a hand stitched bed-quilt appreciated in India where winter is short. The studio soon moved away from its ‘rasai’ Home-furnishing activities to focus on other demands, but in 2018, re-launched its ‘r a s a i’ brand with a fresh vision, this time focusing mainly on clothing.
Making full use of the universal charm of quilted rasai, in which lies their roots, the brand strives to produce pieces which are free from the notion of age, gender and size to enliven the lives of those who use them.

Short length (Face side fabric: Wool / Lining: Cotton) ¥67,000 (+tax)
The collection will feature 3 types of coats in different lengths: short, middle and long. Different materials are used for the face and the lining. The numerous and perfectly straight stiches which are used on these fabrics are the fruit of their skilled artisans.
Middle length (Face side fabric: Wool / Lining: Silk)¥112,000 (+tax)
Despite of its double weave construction, the coat is extremely light. As you can see from the lining, which enables a reversible look, the careful process and the pursuit of good quality can be felt.
