ABODE OF SNOW was founded in 2020 by husband-and-wife team Tenzin Wild and Tao Okamoto. The brand’s name is derived from the English translation of “Himalaya.” Drawing on the respective cultural backgrounds of Tibet and Japan, the brand expresses, in contemporary clothing, the lives of Himalayan people and the culture passed down through generations. Through collaboration with artisans in Japan and Nepal, it brings together traditional techniques and modern design to create pieces made to be worn and cherished for many years.
