All the time – Authentic Linen

Based on traditional European linen fabrics, this heavy linen canvas is designed with ARTS&SCIENCE’s distinct perspective. Both the warp and weft intentionally use wet-spun linen yarns*, commonly employed in apparel, which are woven at an exceptionally high density. This creates a fabric that is rugged yet subtly refined, with a soft and supple texture. The finishing process involves patiently working the fabric over time to fully enhance the rich character of the thick linen yarns.

*Wet spinning: This spinning method produces fine linen yarns by soaking the raw fibers in hot water to soften them before spinning, resulting in yarns with fewer stray fibers and a natural sheen.

This linen canvas fabric is slightly lighter and softer in texture than Authentic linen. It uses the same warp yarns, but the weft yarns are reduced to about half their thickness, resulting in a fabric that perfectly balances substantial weight with lightness.
