KONRAD – 2024AW Collection

KONRAD, a German clothing brand launched by designer Konrad Huber, draws inspiration from daily life, art, travel, and the designer’s rural upbringing in Bavaria. The brand’s designs combine traditional elements with a modern twist, offering practicality and uniqueness. The pieces are designed to be worn throughout the year, with most items featuring reversible designs, allowing for different looks depending on one’s mood.

The print designs pay deep respect to tradition, while incorporating modern aesthetics. This season’s collection features Fichu prints with a faded effect, inspired by vintage fabric shops in Switzerland. Classic motifs are printed on organic corduroy, and the faded color tones are achieved through repeated washing. This initiative embodies the brand’s approach to reworking classic motifs in an innovative manner. The botanical prints are chosen from the archives of Gentili Mosconi, the designer behind nearly all of KONRAD’s prints. Skilled scarf designers redraw these motifs with precision, and cutting-edge digital retouching techniques are applied to complete them.

Beyond prints, we also feature items crafted from luxurious materials, such as those in solid colors showcasing the brand’s characteristic quilting and a silk and wool blend in a sky blue color that evokes the elegance of couture.

Konrad Huber
After graduating from the Parsons School of Design in New York, Huber began his career as an intern at the esteemed Geoffrey Beene Atelier, guided by the late Alber Elbaz. He later worked as an assistant to German designer Wolfgang Joop, managing all aspects of his womenswear collections. After nearly six years in Hamburg, Huber became Head of Design for both womenswear and the luxury Sônia Bogner line. During the lockdown, he founded KONRAD with the vision of creating a small collection that speaks in his unique language, crafted from the heart and hands.
