After working at a French fashion company, Gabriel, the designer of “EMATYTE” acquired the technique of shoemaking through self-education. In 2015, he established his own brand and a studio in the countryside of Florence, in the region of Tuscany, Italy. From gathering materials like leather and strings to lasting, sewing and shoebox making, every step which goes into his creation is done by Gabriel himself.

Gabriel’s high technical skills are visible from his shoes which are like art pieces. Such pieces can never be created by machine production because they are the fruit of multiple layers of meticulous details only granted for handmade pieces. They are supported by his in-depth study, never-ending pursuit and curiosity.

Flat sewing which requires high technical skills.
These boots are exclusive models for A&S. The heel is 1.5cm lower from the original model. The last has been adjusted as well. An aura of an engineered boots.

Opanka construction where the edges are rolled upwards to be covered and sewn.
