Naho Kamada “Scent”

A solo exhibition by metalwork artist Naho Kamada will be held at HIN Aoyama.
The exhibition focuses on new works inspired by Perfumer H, a British fragrance brand that Kamada herself uses daily, exploring objects connected to scent.

Event details

Kamada’s works combine the quiet tension of metal and the subtle warmth of handcraft. In this exhibition, she presents objects that invite the appreciation of scent in daily life.

Among the new works on display are silver-plated boxes and candle holders. Kamada’s classics—cutlery, tea strainers, and other pieces she continues to produce, will also be featured. Larger works, such as servers and plates, will be available as made-to-order pieces.

We invite you to experience each piece in the gallery, crafted with meticulous attention to its form and function.

MESSAGE

Scent

“Bringing fragrance into a space has the power to shift both the atmosphere and the mind. Lighting incense, misting a room with a spritz of spray, or adding a few drops of oil to potpourri—each simple gesture seems to quietly calm and settle the heart.

For this exhibition, I created tools for experiencing scent, alongside the Perfumer H products I use every day.
Incense left in its raw cut form, soaps, and potpourri in their natural state—
objects that are beautiful to behold and that can be appreciated simply as they are.
Even imagining creating them fills me with excitement, and the time spent making them is truly a joy.”
