FOOTWORKS is a Japanese brand that creates custom-made insoles designed to fundamentally improve the feet, the foundation of the body. Designer and insole craftsman Ken Mori was drawn to this path through the influence of his father, who taught himself how to make insoles for his wife during a period of poor health, eventually receiving requests from athletes as well. Having grown up watching his father’s work, Mori followed the same path and now works as an insole craftsman, helping to resolve physical issues through adjustments to footwear and gait.
The Original Sandals presented on this occasion feature a Velcro-fastened strap that secures the forefoot, allowing for a more secure fit across a wider range of foot shapes. The upper is available in a choice of two materials: Italian grained leather or smooth leather by GUIDI. Reflecting Mori’s distinctive perspective, the sandals pursue a balance of functionality and design.
