A&S 2025AW – Knit Collection

Pure Cashmere Yarn Bulky is a 100% cashmere yarn that has long been a staple in A&S’s Autumn/Winter collections. The quality of cashmere is deeply influenced by the climate where the goats are raised: the harsher the environment and the greater the temperature fluctuations, the finer and more luxurious the fibers. At A&S, the raw cashmere is carefully sourced, and each color is meticulously dyed before being spun. For the 2025 Autumn/Winter collection, in addition to classic shades including gray and beige, the range features understated tones such as cocoa, dark navy, and black, as well as accent colors including dark violet and a specially commissioned purple, offering a rich and versatile palette.

Bulky Yak Yarn is newly introduced by A&S, produced by a long-established spinning mill in Italy’s Biella region. Renowned for its artisanal fancy yarns, the mill is celebrated for creating yarns that highlight the natural qualities of the fibers. Its charm lies in its rustic, warm texture, imparting a soft, hand-knitted appearance to each piece.

Knitwear crafted from these yarns is produced at a small workshop in Asahi Town, Nishimurayama District, Yamagata Prefecture. Using a rare manual horizontal knitting machine, skilled artisans knit each piece relying solely on their sense of touch, without the aid of electricity. By carefully adjusting speed and tension throughout every stage and performing all steps entirely by hand, they achieve a softness and texture that cannot be replicated by machine knitting.
