This feature shares the background of the fabrics we develop at Arts & Science, that serves as a core of the craftmanship for the brand. This time, we are introducing, “Trio Plain Light,” a fabric made of interwoven yarns of different materials.
〈Trio Plain Light〉 is a tactile, mixed-weave fabric woven with the finest Indian super long cotton single yarns in the warp and silk-linen blended single yarns in the weft. This fabric is one of Arts & Science’s standard spring/summer fabrics, that blends together the softness and smoothness of high quality extra-long cotton, the firmness of linen, and the fine luster of silk. Each of these three types of fibers used in this fabric has its own unique texture, and the more it is worn, the more it develops into a unique touch and appearance.
In this original A&S collection for 2023SS, new styles from plant-dyed fabrics are released every month, using different raw materials and shades of color. The dyeing process is machine-dyed, which is faster to dye than hand-dyeing. Please visit our store to see the results of this plant dyeing process on our mixed-weave fabric in person. The color shows a true deep, rich expression due to the difference in the depth of color for each type of fiber.
