TENTHOUSANDTHINGS Trunk Show 2022

Jewelry brand, TENTHOUSANDTHINGS has been chosen as one of 21 designers for Brilliant & Black: A jewelry Renaissance exhibition by Sotheby’s. The brand has also actively collaborated on presentations at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. We are honored to present new pieces from TENTHOUSANDTHINGS especially selected for Arts & Science at A&S Marunouchi, Aoyama and Fukuoka from Friday, May 20th until the end of August.

Arts & Science has presented various events in collaboration with TENTHOUSANDTHINGS by Ron Anderson and David Rees. At this trunk show, a number of unique jewelry shapes, including a customized variation of chandelier earring from the Sotheby's exhibition and rings using rare stones will be shared. The trunk show will tour 3 A&S stores with various pieces to fit the aesthetic of each location.

David Rees remarks the sources and inspirations of creating “beautiful things” at TENTHOUSANDTHINGS are the combinations of “raw materials” and “manufacturing techniques.” The philosophy is to express the beauty in jewelry without suppressing the natural features of the stones and metals - their original beauty. "With exciting and quality materials, we feel the value will not diminish, and we hope that translates to the end-user. Our jewelry adds “value” to the wearer. The designers share, “our creations are unique beautiful pieces always with a distinct statement, an originality, the concept being true to the material yet always unusual and special.”

PROFILE
TENTHOUSANDTHINGS was established in 1991 by Ron Anderson and David Rees, self-taught jewelers. TTT meticulously hand crafts modern heirlooms — sculptural forms in silver and gold — inspired by abstract shapes found in nature. Their concept underlies in the idea that jewelry should give a person “value” – a unique energy that comes from each specific piece and translates to the wearer. Arts & Science has introduced their collection through trunk shows and custom events for many seasons.
