- Masao Kozumi “Glass Onggi”
From Friday April 12th to Sunday April 21st, AT THE CORNER will be hosting our very first solo-exhibition of the glass artist, Masao Kozumi.
Kozumi uses a traditional method dating from the Edo period (between 17th and 19th century) as his model for the creation process. His works evoke a unique green color and a fluctuation due to iron in the glass material. The greatest emphasis which Kozumi puts on his work is that they should be Japanese glasses which match the Japanese table which focus on the “preparation”. In this exhibition where Kozumi’s elegant works with antique allure come together, we will also focus on his new “Glass Onggi” which feature glass vessels glazed in pale colors. We look forward to seeing you there.
