- Naho Kamada Exhibition
HIN / Arts & Science, Nijodori Kyoto is holding an exhibition of works by the metalsmith, Naho Kamada.
The exhibition will focus on works in pure silver such as spoons decorated with ancient beads from the era of Mesopotamian Civilization, as well as exclusively made sukkara (Korean spoon), flower vases, and small boxes in pure silver. Please come and take a look at Kamada’s exquisite everyday items which give off a soft allure and were created by careful forging process. We look forward to seeing you there.

- PROFILE
- Naho Kamada is a metalsmith born in Kumamoto in 1982. In 2005, she studied under Takejiro Hasegawa, and learned metalworking of items such as tea utensils. Kamada became independent in 2008 and launched her own production activities. You can feel the sophistication and dignified strength of the hand work from her delicate works. Kamada’s works are inspired by ancient items from various countries, such as tableware, cutlery, and objects made of pure silver or brass.
